Solar Gear<\/h2>\n

A number of people have been asking me about what I have in the way of parts for the solar setup in my truck<\/a>, so I figured I\u2019d list the major components here for easy reference.\u00a0 I\u2019ve ditched the idea of building a custom solar generator in the truck for a few reasons \u2013 the main reason being, it\u2019s a LOT easier to carry a Bluetti<\/a> unit around and place it where I need to use it with no hassle.\u00a0 The other reason is that I\u2019ll be permanently mounting the solar gear in the camper<\/a>, where I plan on using it the most.\u00a0 I can move the ARB fridge<\/a> from the truck to the camper and back as I need to, in order to keep it running \u2013 critical to being outdoors in the Texas heat \u2013 even in October and March.<\/p>\n

\nIf you want to learn the ins & outs of solar power, I can\u2019t recommend Will Prowse enough.\u00a0 Not only is his book<\/a> an Amazon bestseller in like 12 categories and multiple countries, it has all the information you need with no fluff or BS.\u00a0 Also, his YouTube channel<\/a> (\u201cDIY Solar Power with Will Prowse\u201d) is a must<\/em><\/strong> for learning all this stuff.\u00a0 He even has a forum<\/a> if you want to ask questions.<\/p>\n
