What?!?<\/h2>\n

A good number of people have asked me how I plan to get around, what I\u2019ll be taking with me, and how I plan on earning a living while on the road.\u00a0 Rather than spend a long time sending links to equipment, explaining my setup & gear, I figured it would be much easier to consolidate all of that information into a single page.\u00a0 This is it.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

Why?<\/h2>\n

I hate paying rent, and I don\u2019t want to be tied down to a house, and since there\u2019s so much of this country I still haven\u2019t seen, I\u2019ll be traveling as a\u00a0Digital Nomad<\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0teaching courses, working my current full-time job remotely, exploring National and State Parks & Forests, and doing my best to make the most out of my life and\u00a0enjoying it while I\u2019m still able to<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Not all who wander are lost.<\/em>\u00a0 \u2013J.R.R. Tolkien<\/strong><\/p>\n

How?<\/h2>\n

I\u2019ll be sleeping (not \u201cliving\u201d) in a Runaway Campers \u201cV-Series\u201d camper (the \u201cVenturist<\/a>\u201c) \u2013 a 6\u2019x8\u2032 off-road camper, pulled around the country by\u00a0The Truck.\u00a0 The Venturist comes stock with a 5,000 btu air conditioner, which will definitely help in the warm\/hot months (along with elevation changes, depending on which state I\u2019m in at the time \u2013 this is where trip planning\u00a0really<\/em>\u00a0comes into play.)\u00a0 No, it\u2019s not tall enough to stand up in, but I don\u2019t need it to be.<\/p>\n

For additional outside shelter for when the bugs get bad (or it\u2019s raining and I still want to be outside), I\u2019ll be setting up camp in a QuickSet Shelter (the \u201cEscape Sky Camper<\/a>\u201d model.)\u00a0 It\u2019s big enough to hide a large picnic table, and then some, with plenty of standing room.<\/p>\n

Since I love a nice hot shower, I\u2019ll have a few options \u2013 all of which I can enjoy inside my\u00a0Kelty H2GO shower tent<\/a>\u00a0(or in the wide-open outdoors):<\/p>\n
