So, this is one of those things that kinda got away from me over the last year and half, so I’ll get straight to it.
I drove to the folk’s house to spend Thanksgiving, and wound up blowing my back out in a big way, so I had spinal surgery. A few days after I was out of surgery on my spine, I had the first cataract surgery, and a few weeks later I had the second eye surgery done. It feels SO GOOD to be able to drive without glasses now!
Side-effect: Slight neuropathy in my right left & foot following the spine surgery, but I’ve heard it’s common, and can take awhile to fully recover. I can still walk & drive just fine, but stairs are not very friendly to me.
The van is on Build #3, using the original interior layout as Build #1, with a few modifications, which will be revealed once it’s finished.
The OUTSIDE has gone through some MAJOR upgrades, which will be posted on my Buy Me A Coffee site (sorry, but membership does have a few perks.). There will be a quick video tour posted on the YooToobs soon showing the details.
The new goal is to be back on the road by the end of this June (2025) to enjoy all of the work that’s been put into my new home on wheels.

Hey Kevin! Glad you’re on the mend, but wow, when your back hurts, EVERYthing hurts! I have spinal stenosis, and I also have a rod and screws in my leg from falling on ice 5 years ago. If I don’t keep up with my exercises, I go downhill fast! So do those PT exercises and keep them up. 😉 I even got one of those PT tables for here at home, because I can’t get up from the floor so easily. Anyway, I hope you get back up to snuff soon so you can get back on the road! Get whatever support items (comfy support pillows!) you need—they are worth it. Your van looks really cool, btw. Enjoy!
